mediaX is Stanford’s industry affiliate program that connects visionary businesses that want to see and shape the future with the Stanford professors who are likely creating it. But as visionary as they are, a lot of these businesses couldn’t see what a university program had to offer them. In many cases, the program wasn’t even on their radar.

Approach

We interviewed both sides of the mediaX equation: Stanford professors and graduate students, and mediaX members, both past and present. This gave us a clear understanding of the organization’s unique position and the tangible value it delivered to members. With this insight, we developed a brand positioning, identity and website to make mediaX more relevant and attractive to potential industry partners.
